• Unlike the traditional corporate wellness model, where dimension-specific knowledge (i.e., social, emotional, intellectual, occupational, spiritual, and physical) must come from outside sources, TCU has a wealth of expertise available in its faculty, staff, and students.
• An “on campus partner” concept is being implemented as an integral part of the structural framework of the WellnessGold program. The “on-campus partner” model provides diverse opportunities for growth to all involved with the WellnessGold program.
• The obvious beneficiary is the individual participating in the WellnessGold program. However, the “on-campus partners” derive a significant benefit as well. The “on-campus partners” have the opportunity to interact with other members of the TCU community, thereby enhancing interdisciplinary / interdepartmental collaboration.
• The academic “on-campus partners” have the opportunity to involve their students in the delivery of the WellnessGold product, thus offering students an opportunity to practice their profession in a controlled “real world” setting.
In short, this model encourages and supports interdepartmental collaboration, enhances student education and preparation, and improves the health and well-being of the TCU community. To date the following departments have become “on-campus partners:”
