• Unlike the traditional corporate wellness model, where dimension-specific knowledge (i.e., social, emotional, intellectual, occupational, spiritual, and physical) must come from outside sources, TCU has a wealth of expertise available in its faculty, staff, and students.

• An “on campus partner” concept is being implemented as an integral part of the structural framework of the WellnessGold program. The “on-campus partner” model provides diverse opportunities for growth to all involved with the WellnessGold program.

• The obvious beneficiary is the individual participating in the WellnessGold program. However, the “on-campus partners” derive a significant benefit as well. The “on-campus partners” have the opportunity to interact with other members of the TCU community, thereby enhancing interdisciplinary / interdepartmental collaboration.

• The academic “on-campus partners” have the opportunity to involve their students in the delivery of the WellnessGold product, thus offering students an opportunity to practice their profession in a controlled “real world” setting.

In short, this model encourages and supports interdepartmental collaboration, enhances student education and preparation, and improves the health and well-being of the TCU community. To date the following departments have become “on-campus partners:”

Department of Nutritional Sciences

Campus Recreation

Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences

Information Technology

Center for Instructional Services

Office of Religious and Spiritual Affairs

Office of Communications

Department of Psychology
